Your membership supports our Religious School and youth programming, helps fund Temple holiday celebrations, and provides scholarships for Jewish summer camps. We sponsor youth group activities; gifts for b’nai mitzvah, confirmands, and college students; and offer meaningful programs for the women in our congregation. Sisterhood also proudly operates Temple Traditions, Birmingham’s only Jewish gift shop. Through our affiliation with Women of Reform Judaism (WRJ), we connect with a broader Reform movement.

Sisterhood is all about making new friends over just-for-fun social events, having opportunities to pitch in together to make good things happen, and learning new things and skills at creative classes and workshops. Thank you for your membership!

Pizza party at Slice – Lemonade in the Shade Sukkot potluck event with Mah Jongg / Game Night – Dinner and a Movie – Sisterhood Celebrates Wisdom – Yogurt and Yoga – Fused Glass Mezuzah Making – Bagels and Bams – Floral Arranging and Cookie Exchange – Sisterhood/Brotherhood Pancakes and Pajamas Havdalah with Religious School – Hamantaschen Baking with Rabbi Young – Women’s Seder – Sisterhood/Brotherhood Lag B’Omer Supper – plus other popups and opportunities to get together in small and large settings
