Our Temple is a place that I love to be. It has all the things that I love to be involved with and when I am there, I always see someone that I care about—and someone who cares about me.
But, our Temple is not just about what occurs during our lifetime. It must continue long after we are all gone. That is why I give to the Grafman Endowment Fund—to make sure that Temple Emanu-El is there for the future, there for the kids that are in kindergarten now. Even though I’m not in a position to make a huge gift, I know that if we get enough small amounts, we will ultimately get enough to collectively build a large amount. And, that large amount can make are real difference in the lives of our congregation.
