Our temple relies heavily on funding from our endowment to maintain a strong and vibrant home of Reform Judaism. Your charitable donations to our Annual Endowment Gift Campaign help underwrite current programming and other enhancements for our temple while also safeguarding temple’s future for the generations who will follow us.

Your annual gift makes a difference!

Temple’s membership dues commitments provide only a portion of the congregation’s revenue.  Our Endowment Fund represents a significant source of income to temple, helping make a meaningful difference for the many innovative and wonderful activities that happen annually.  Additionally, your gifts help grow a “savings account” over time to ensure that our temple has assets in reserve for unexpected needs in the years ahead.

You can choose how your gift benefits Temple Emanu-El.

You have the flexibility to designate that your gift be applied to a specific fund or purpose that you care about or rely on the Board’s discretion by simply making a gift to the General Endowment Fund.  Over the past several years, Endowment funds have provided the magnificent choir and flowers for the High Holy Days, many special guest speakers and musical concerts, much of the communications to our membership (including this website), retreats and camp scholarships for our young people – and much, much more. You can make a gift of any size.

Gifts both large and small are welcome.  The most important thing is to give! A minimum annual contribution of $36 is suggested. For gifts of $100 or more, you can pay in installments over the course of the year. (Click on the “to mail your gift” link above to print and return the reply card.) 

And, for gifts of $100 or more, you receive complimentary “tributes” to remember or honor a loved one or friend during the campaign calendar year. Donors enjoy this benefit of having a “bank” of acknowledgments to use during the year without making additional donations.

You have options on when to pay.

Our Annual Endowment Gift Program runs on the calendar year.  For donor recognition purposes, please make your gift or pledge by March 31, even if you plan to pay at a later date. For pledge commitments, our endowment office will send you reminders on the month(s) you indicate.
