Legacy Stories
“Our Jewish community is better than it ever has been.”

Stacy & Justin LaddenStacy and I grew up at two different Jewish congregations in Birmingham. We both feel a strong commitment to supporting the longevity of this Jewish community. This is especially true since we have welcomed our son, Myer, into this world.

We truly believe that our Jewish community is growing and becoming better than it ever has been. People are moving here from all parts of the country. Our Temple is welcoming them and working hard to provide programming for families with young children. We hope that this great community continues to flourish.

Among the people who are our age and starting to have children, we are all beginning to think more about our values and priorities and what we want to pass down to our children. Stacy and I feel it is important to sustain the future of our Jewish congregation. We give to the Annual Endowment Gift program because we want our children to be raised with a strong Jewish identity and to be proud to be Jewish in the South. We want them to grow up to carry on the traditions that are so meaningful to us and our families.
