Cantor will call both you and the Kiddush participant to the pulpit at the appropriate time. You should bring your prayer book with you. When lighting the candles, use the lighter to light the short candle and then use the short candle to light the 2 Shabbat candles.

As shown below, read the first part (“Almighty God…”), then light the candles and say the prayer in Hebrew and then English.

After the Kiddush is read and then sung by the Cantor, both participants will return to their seats.
