Helena cried this morning after Rabbi Miller’s last Saturday morning service. I guess that’s the only way to start this tribute. How do you put into words how a man has impacted your life more than some of your own family members? Rabbi Miller hasn’t been just a rabbi. He’s been family. He’s been a rock – a support…an oasis in periods of crisis, a comfort in times of sorrow. He’s been a wellspring of inspiration.
Rabbi means ‘teacher’ and Rabbi Miller has certainly done that. He’s taught me to be a better father. He’s taught me to walk closer with God. He’s taught me Torah, but not just from a scroll. Rabbi Miller used life as a lesson, showed me how to strive when life has given me less and to appreciate when life has given me more. He’s been a friend through the good and bad. He will be sorely missed.
