Rabbi Miller has been a blessing in my life in so many ways it’s hard to put into words how grateful I am to have known him and to call him a friend and the spiritual leader in my life. He was there every Sunday as I grew up in Sunday school and at all the holiday celebrations. He married my husband John and I and has been there for us through and through. Rabbi Miller was there for the births of both my children and gave them their Hebrew names and my son is named after him He has helped us say goodbye to countless loved ones and lead services to help us celebrate their lives. He has taught me everything I know about the Jewish religion and the ability to pass that on to my children. This goodbye is bittersweet, sad and wonderful all at the same time because I know he is looking forward to spending his days with family and grandchildren and enjoying the beautiful life that he built for himself as he led and nurtured our congregation over the years. He tore down barriers in our community and brought people together when they needed it most. He did things for this city that will always and forever be remembered. When this country was suffering he knew just what to say to bring us hope and on happy occasions, he celebrated right along side all of us. That’s what’s special about Rabbi Miller, he has always been there for the big things and the little things in our lives that mattered the most. He is and always will be my Rabbi and I am forever grateful for all the memories over the last 28 years. Thank you so much, Rabbi Miller for everything you have given me, my family, our congregation and this community. We love you dearly and wish you much happiness on your new journey….can’t wait to see what’s to come!
