We’ve broken bread together, Journey’d together, planned together, laughed and cried, and danced together, we’ve agreed and disagreed together, and we have prayed together. You continue to be my friend, my colleague and my Rabbi.
Your guiding force has certainly led Temple Emanu-El to new heights, both within our synagogue and throughout our community. In addition to being the rabbi at Alabama’s largest congregation, you’ve taught so many Christians and Jews about Judaism, and you’ve been an excellent spokesperson in the media.
Leslie and I wish you and Judi only the very best as you enter this new Life’s Journey. Although you’ve retired from Temple Emanu-El, we know you’re not retired! The best part is this: your family and grandchildren can now take first-place in your life, you can sit anywhere you want when you go to services, and you can even sleep late!
